2 Kings 4:1-7

He Makes a Way

There is a woman in scripture whose story mirrors everything we do at Widows Oil Ministry. She came to the prophet Elisha with almost nothing — just a small jar of oil and a debt so large it threatened to swallow her children whole. She did not come with abundance. She came with her little.

Elisha did not turn her away. He asked her to gather vessels — as many as she could find — and pour. She poured from her small jar into every container her neighbors could offer. And the oil did not stop flowing until the last vessel was full.

That is how God works in this ministry. We gather the “littles” — a box of food, a bag of hygiene supplies, a piece of furniture, a winter coat — from neighbors who care enough to give what they have. And somehow, together, we find that it is always enough. More than enough.

The widow’s oil ran out when the vessels ran out. The limit was never in God’s provision. It was in how many containers she could gather. We are always gathering more vessels. We are always making room for more.

Whatever little you are holding today — offer it. Watch what God does with it.
