Matthew 25:40

Whatever God Sends Us

We are quiet. We don’t often stand on platforms. We don’t do fundraisers. Photo ops are never going to be our thing.

Our mission is to be there. To show up. To do what we can, wherever we can.

When asked “What do you do?” the only answer I have is: Whatever God sends us.

We don’t do clothes — except when he sends us someone without any. We don’t do food — unless he sends us someone who’s hungry. We don’t do shelter — unless he sends us someone who has no place to lay their head. There are lots of wants that show up, but God sends the needs.

There’s another side to it, too. We also provide a place for those who need a way to be of service — to give back from their abundance, to honor God’s commandment to love one another. That mission is probably the most important thing we do.

Today I’d just like to say thank you — to those who we are blessed to be able to help, to those who find themselves at our doorstep in need of hope. We are so grateful to be chosen. And to the ones who help us with your love, prayers, and support: you’re welcome.

Love, Pam
